Quarter after six this morning my phone rings, I thought it was my alarm, but it turns off without me having to hit the snooze, a few minutes later and it rings again. The executive producer for Intervention is on the phone, he informs me that unfortunately Intervention was not nominated for best Reality Series, something that all of us that work on the show was really hoping for. But he does not stop there, he tells me that I was nominated for an Emmy. I had no idea what he was talking about, I was trying to think about what shows I worked one that was up for cinematography, it was 6 am and I was drawing a blank.

Much to my surprise I have been nominated for a 2007 Emmy Award for “Outstanding Cinematography For Reality Programming”

I don’t know what else to say, it feels as if I am reading about someone else as I write this.
It is an honor.
